This blog is about nations, ministries, pastors, villages and people that God loves and that He has brought into my path to connect with and pray for. God's heart reaches out to them as He's placed a desire and a burden in my heart to see their ministries, families and countries touched by God's presence and prospering under His mighty hand through Jesus Christ and the precious Holy Spirit. Please join us in prayer for these nations and these ministers of God to be blessed and strengthened in their work of advancing the Kingdom of Heaven in the earth.

Fasting Prayers in Jaggampeta Church

Lord, we ask You to come with Your power and Your presence
upon these people that have gathered in Your name.
Father, You said, "When My people, who are called by My name
will humble themselves and pray and seek My face,
and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven,
I will forgive their sin, and I will heal their land."
Come, Father, see and hear the cry of Your people,
Holy Spirit fall upon their churches, restore their land,
heal their hearts and bodies, prosper their lives,
and glorify Yourself through them in this hour.
We pray this in the mighty name of Your Son Jesus.
Amen

Pastor John Omondi
assisted in a church planting event in June with
the United Methodist Church

Rev. Kepha and Bob, one of their United States missionaries led this church planting program in a village near Migori where Pastor Omondi was invited to travel with them and join them in this event. This was a wonderful rural event as many people gave their lives to the Lord as can be seen in the photos. The meeting began on Friday night with four sessions on Saturday as well as a Sunday service.

Pastor John Omondi
ministering at a village woman's church in May 2011

The following is a wonderful story of the heart of this young preacher in Kisumu, Kenya, the work of God in his life, and how God gave him beauty for ashes, and turned what the enemy meant for evil around for his good and for the good of many others. Let me share with you the progression of God's work.

A while back God put on Pastor John Omondi's heart a vision for a Prayer and Fasting Center to provide a place for the men and women of God that would go up the mountain to seek the Lord in prayer. These people of prayer would find shelter in caves and under the thicket for shade during the day and for protection at night as well as from the strong winds and rain, but during the rainy season it was difficult for them to go up the mountain, and at times even dangerous as arsonists would torch the bushes just for meanness. In waiting on God's appointed and appropriate time to fulfill this vision, he felt led of the Lord to begin planting a church there in Kisumu to reach and minister to the local people. Pastor John began taking steps of faith, reaching out for financial support for supplies as well as going door to door to meet the people and prepare and invite them to the new church. The Lord provided for the necessary preaching instruments, microphones, amplifier, and speakers and also the building materials, supplies and labor for a temporary structure. He was so thankful and excited about all that God was doing and supplying and had the structure partially built and prepared for a dedication ceremony on Easter Sunday.

However when Pastor John arrived that Easter morning he found the structure torn down and half of the metal sheets missing. He found out that some of the people in the surrounding area opposed the building of this church and had bribed some of the officials to tear it down and remove some of the supplies to prevent him from any future services. They had falsely accused him of illegally building on a road reserve. Later Pastor John was able to clear everything legally with the city, but they made him pay a $50 storage fee to get his materials back. Pastor John was devestated, confused and in great pain from this attack of the enemy, and retreated in prayer for 3 weeks to heal his heart and seek the Lord. During this time of prayer the Lord began to heal him and return his focus once again to the dream seed He had given him of a Prayer and Fasting Center. The Lord moved on his heart as well to go and visit a church pastored by a woman named Mrs. Otieno in the village nearby. This is where the real healing began. During this visit the Lord opened a door for him to minister to the people, but during this ministry time that day the Lord did another thing in his heart as well.

The Lord spoke to Pastor John to sow the materials, the 30 metal sheets and the timber, into this village woman's church. This, the Lord instructed him, would open doors for the resources that he would need to realize the Prayer and Fasting Center dream.
Below are pictures of her church structure.

So Pastor John shared his heart with Pastor Otieno and began the process to transport the materials to her location and rebuild their church building.

And the first service
in the new building.

Praise God. He blesses that we may be a blessing, and now He has done a beautiful work through the heart of this man of God. Truly this is a work of God's healing and redeeming grace through a man after God's own heart, sensitive to His will, and ready to give and sow into the needs of others. What the enemy meant for evil, God has used for good, and seed sown into this man's dream and ministry has now become multiplied to bless two ministries, to be seed planted into this village woman's dream that will bear much fruit in the Kingdom of God and bless many others for years to come. Glory to God!

"Truly, truly I say to you, unless a grain of wheat
falls into the ground and dies, it stands alone;
but if it dies, it bears much fruit. "
John 12:24

Lord, we ask You now to bless both of these pastors. We ask You to move mightily upon their lives and ministries. We ask You to meet their needs in abundance, that there would be nothing lacking, and that the needed resources would be supplied to Pastor John for this Prayer and Fasting Center in response to his obedience and sowing. And Lord, we ask especially that You would pour out Your Spirit upon their lives and families and the people in this village and city. Come Holy Spirit, make Yourself manifest. Do what only You can do. Let them feel Your presence and know Your love as never before in Jesus name. Amen
