Expanding Their Church Building - Kisii, Kenya

Pastor Isaac and his congregation in Kisii, Kenya are having a fundraiser in early August to expand their church building.  The membership has increased and the church building has become too small causing others to have to stand outside while the service is going on. The leadership has decided to expand it to accommodate more people. Their fundraiser is on August 5th, 2018 and they are pressing to raise $3000 for the building supplies and labor and chairs etc. Please join us as we lift them into the Glory decreeing our God meets ALL of their needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. He does exceedingly abundantly above ALL that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us.

This small orphanage that cared and ministered to 16 children in 2014 has continued to grow and help many other children as it has placed several in adopted and temporary homes and families over the last 4 years. This orphanage is directed and overseen by a pastor and his wife who pastors a church next door to the orphanage. They reach out to their church family, their community and other supporters to meet the needs of these children for food, clothing, education, medical and other basic needs. We send our heart felt prayers to them as they make themselves available to be the heart, hands and feet of Jesus.

Lord, we ask You to come with Your power and Your presence

upon these people that have gathered in Your name.

Father, You said, "When My people, who are called by My name

will humble themselves and pray and seek My face, 

and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven,

I will forgive their sin, and I will heal their land."

Come, Father, see and hear the cry of Your people,

Holy Spirit fall upon their churches, restore their land,

heal their hearts and bodies, prosper their lives,

and glorify Yourself through them in this hour.

Pastor John Omondi

assisted in a church planting event in June with

the United Methodist Church

 

 

 Rev. Kepha and Bob, one of their United States missionaries led this church planting program in a village near Migori where Pastor Omondi was invited to travel with them and join them in this event. This was a wonderful rural event as many people gave their lives to the Lord as can be seen in the photos. The meeting began on Friday night with four sessions on Saturday as well as a Sunday service.
