This blog is about nations, ministries, pastors, villages and people that God loves and that He has brought into my path to connect with and pray for. God's heart reaches out to them as He's placed a desire and a burden in my heart to see their ministries, families and countries touched by God's presence and prospering under His mighty hand through Jesus Christ and the precious Holy Spirit. Please join us in prayer for these nations and these ministers of God to be blessed and strengthened in their work of advancing the Kingdom of Heaven in the earth.

Homes for Widows in Kenya Village

"Where is the house that you will build Me?
And where is the place of My rest?"
Isaiah 66:1

This village church and apostolic center in the Nyarombe Village of Kenya that the Lord led Pst John Omondi to build has continued to grow and minister to the village people. Along with reaching the local orphans and children there, blessing the widows is an area that the Spirit of God has been moving on by rebuilding and repairing some of the widows homes in the area. Many of the homes there are African mud homes that have stood for years and provided protection for them from the elements, but some are also deteriorating, leaking and needing repair or just rebuilding all together. Pst John's heart has gone out to these widows in their plight and has been praying for more support and provisions that would allow him to make more of an impact upon these village people and widows. The Lord has been answering that prayer as He moves upon hearts to come alongside him with financial support for this need.

Below is the first widow's old house that was eventually torn down after the new one was built. It was the first house built to bless the widow that donated the land for the church. Her roof was leaking and she had to huddle in the corner when it rained to stay dry. Pst John knew this widow could have easily donated that land to get money for a new home, but rather she chose to donate it for the contruction of a church that would benefit the village people. The Lord blessed her in return for her generous and selfless gift.

Widow that donated land stands in front of her
old mud house with the leaking roof and no windows.

Widow's new plastered house with new roof,
door and windows.

This new house is a 2 bedroom plastered home with windows and metal door that replaced the widow's one bedroom home that had no windows at all, had a broken wooden door, and had walls that were cracked, eroded and unplastered. The plastering over the mud walls is more expensive, but it also adds more strength, a good esthetic finishing, and prevents the rains from eroding the mud walls.

However with this blessing there became a challenge Pst John faced. Many of the members of the church that began attending were vulnerable people who were also pulled to the church through the charity work of the widow's house. Other widows that began attending approached Pst John to help them get a house like he was able to get for this widow. There was one widow whose bed mattress was on the mud floor, and when it rained the water flowed into it and would get her mattress wet. Another widow had to leave her home and move far away to a rental place as one of the mud walls of her home caved in and she had no one to help her rebuild.  Pst John acknowleded, "The needs are diverse and they are real." He began praying that the Lord would bless him with increased support to help these widows and village people more since the Lord brought him there for a purpose. The Lord has been faithful.

A new bed was provided for the 2nd widow as repairs began being made to her present home. Murium/clay and cement is being added to raise and transform the mud floor into a concrete floor to keep rain out, and plastering is being done to the outside walls to create strength. The real blessing has been that this widow was not a member of the church, it was only her daughter-in-law that was a member, but as a result of these acts of kindness she has confessed that she is now becoming a member of the church. Love has pulled her, and now she will be able to hear the Gospel, the Living Word. Jesus' passion was meeting both the spiritual as well as the physical.

Other Widow's Needs:
There are other widows whose mud homes are worn, weakened, and leaking that need replacing. Some whose homes weren't plastered so the walls have washed out by rains, and even one that finally caved in all together, forcing her to relocate far away to a rental property.

A widow's home: walls washed out, leaking roof,
anf timber that is weakened.

Another widow's home: walls caved in.
Had to abandon to a rental far away.
Had no one to help her rebuild.

There are many widows in need here, and the Father's heart is towards them. He is moving upon this area of home repairs and rebuilding for these widows in this village as Holy Spirit creates and makes the way for more support and hearts to join in this Kingdom work.

Process of Building an African Mud Home:
The process of building one of these mud homes with a concrete floor is very interesting. The men work very hard as you can see in these videos below. They are hard working people here in Kenya and Africa. The stages of building are shown below with pictures taken from the building of the first widow's house. The videos are of the concreting of the floor taken from when the floor was done at the church. These pctures and videos show the process for those of you that are interested in learning more about these African ways of building. The heavy rainy seasons there are March-May and October-November and make it much more difficult to transport the heavy loads of murium, stone chips and sand. The feeder roads into the village become a swamp so it more of a challenge to build during these rainy seasons. See video below:

Truck transporting load of murium stuck.
Swampy roads from heavy rains.

STAGES & PROCESS OF BUILDING AN AFRICAN MUD HOUSE:
1. Buying timber - cutting them down into size.
2. Buy roofing metal sheeets plus heavier roofing timber.
3. Engaging the carpenter for building.
4. When structure is done, mud is put on wall- 2 stages.
5. Fixing in windows and doors.
6. Final stage - plastering for added strength & esthetics if desired.

Stage 1: Cutting down trees and cutting them to different lumber sizes

Stage 2: Carpenter builds structure and places roofing materials

Stage 3: Mixing mud composition and placing mud in
walls. This must dry for 2 weeks before more mud
is placed to fill in gaps that were left after walls dried.

Stage 5: Windows and doors are placed.
Stage 6: 2nd layer of mud covering (see side wall)
Stage 7: Plastering (front wall with door & window)

PROCESS FOR CONCRETING FLOORS
1. Purchase truckload of muriam/clay, stone chips, load of sand, and bags of sand.
2. Lay 4 inches of murium/clay.
3. Place layer of stone chips that are then pounded to compact them together.
3. Mix cement and sand and pour over murium & stone chips - concreting floor.

Stage 1: Purchase and deliver supplies
(murium, stone chips, sand, concrete bags)

Stage 2: Carting the murium into place

Stage 3: Pounding the stone to make it compact before cementing

Stage 4: Concreting - mixing cement, carting it in,
and pouring it on top of murium.

FOODBANK:
Pst John also has a desire to build a separate house on the church property that would basically be like a foodbank, supplying food and supplies for the widows and orphans there; supplies such as maize, beans, salt, etc.

Opening Ceremony of Kenya Church & Apostolic Center

Pst John and Evelyn Omondi

Sunday, Sept 20th: Pst John and Evelyn Omondi along with many others celebrated the opening of the church and Apostolic Center, a vision that the Lord had given Pst John. After many years God's appointed time had come and His provision made the way forward to begin the construction of the initial phase which included the church and latrine. Invitations were sent out, preparations were made, and many people gathered to pray and fast for the event beginning the Friday night before and staying into that Sunday morning. Several stayed all through the night and day prior to the event soaking in the presence of the Lord.

God was glorified through this Kingdom work. The day was a great success. The house was full and overflowing that Sunday as many attended including local government leaders and the chief guest speaker who was a senior bishop and friend of Pst John's.
On this special day the church dedication was done, messages of thanksgiving and honor were made, and prayers and commissioning were released over Pst John and Evelyn by the senior bishop and other leaders.

Pst John said of the service, "All in all, many people were touched of God and people were delivered even as evil spirits were cast out of many. It was indeed a wonderful service. We are looking forward to having people join next Sunday"

After the service tents and extra chairs had been rented to prepare for and serve the overflow, food was catered and served, and all celebrated the beginning of a new thing God was doing in the village of Nyarombe and for the people of Kenya. As a gift of honor and thanksgiving, a ram was given to the chief guest and his wife.

We rejoice with Pst John and Evelyn and their family and join our hearts and prayers with theirs as God continues to build on this Apostolic Center and works through them both to touch lives and help many as they advance the Kingdom together through this God vision.

Building on the Kenya Vision of an Apostolic Center

The Lord has begun to move and provide for the vision that He has placed in Pst John Omondi's heart, an Apostolic Center to minister first to the local village people in Nyarombe, Kenya. It has been a long time coming as Pst John continued to trust the Lord through the trials and testing of his faith. "Delayance is not denial." Learning from the story about Hannah and Pennina in the book of 1 Samuel Pst John realized that "the Lord knows how to fulfill the desires of His children irrespective of how someone has been mocked or laughed at. The baby delayed, but finally came. God's perfect timing is the best. And when the appointed time comes, things begin to work for our good. Appointed Time is called the Fulness of Time; Fulness of Time is also called Set Time; Set Time is also called the Fulfilled Time. That time is Now. It's the Hour of Visitation for our village. Already the stakes are high and people are looking forward to the church."

"We are taking this journey one step at a time." The ultimate vision is "to have a kindergarten which will turn out to be a place for taking care of and feeding the vulnerable chldren and people in the community. There are lots of vulnerable children/orphans who go without food. So we will be inviting them for meals and then they go back to their caregivers until such a time that the Lord will bless us with a little house for a dormitory then we will have them board with us within the center."

The Lord blessed him first by an elderly widow that donated this parcel of land that she lives adjacent to. It was her seed of faith towards the vision and the need for her village. Then began the fencing off of the property in mid July. The construction of the church building and beginning of the latrine digging and construction began the 3rd week of August. Construction is continuing as the Lord continues to provide.

The immediate needs before the opening ceremony which Pst John is believing the Lord for on the 3rd Sunday of September is for 5 glass windows for the church building, muram and plastering for the church floor and 50-100 plastic chairs. After the opening of the church they will want to include electricity that will service both the church and the kindergarten, and also be able to purchase instruments as the Lord provides.

Pst John's Apostolic journey in mnistry involved many nations including Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burudi, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Ghana, Liberia and Portugal. He completed his ministry training and received his degree through the Rhema Bible Training College in Kenya in 2019. He was ordained as an Apostle in Zimbabwe in 2017. His wife, Evelyn, has just recently returned from a 4 month children's ministry training in New Zealand at CBM-Children's Bible Ministry. She was delayed in her return for 5 months due to no flights because of Covid but that allowed her even more time and experience with the ministry there.

God has been preparing them for this time and now He is beginning to provide for His heart and vision with them for these people in the village of Nyarombe. God has a way of giving us everything we need to make His love a complete picture to the people. We rejoice with them and praise God for His goodness and faithfulness to provide and answer prayer. God's timing IS perfect and He is moving in this hour and desires for us to move with Him. Isaac sowed in the time of famine and reaped a hundred fold in return in that same year. If you are looking for a place to sow into good ground and see a blessed harvest from your sowing here it is.

To know Pst John's heart better there is a wonderful story that we were able to piece together many years ago on a previous blog that showed how God turned what the enemy meant for evil around for Pst John's good, giving him beauty for ashes as he sowed a seed of metal sheets into a woman pastor's church. It was through this faith seed given from his heart that he knew when the appointed time came that the Lord would build him a house for His glory....and THAT is what He is doing Now, Glory!!
Would like to share this story with you.

UPDATE   9-11-20:
Pastor John was reflecting on this short clip of a word the Lord was speaking through him several years ago that are becoming a reality to him this year. Thank You Lord that You are a wonder working God and You remember us!! Our God is a God of motion. He is about to do something!!

PRAYERS NEEDED FOR THE ROADS THAT PROVIDE ACCESS TO BRING SUPPLIES INTO THIS VILLAGE:

This is how serious and difficult things are with them to transport these 2 truck loads of muram to construct the floor of the church. They had been stuck for 3 hours and still waiting and working to be able to move forward.

Lord, we reach for Your mercy and grace and provision to build and improve this road infrastructure to this village. You are Provider and Source, so we look to You and bring our supplication to You. We thank You that You shall supply all of our needs according to Your riches in glory by Christ Jesus. We call forth those finances and all that is needed to improve these roads in order to supply good transport to this village and those around them in Jesus mighty name!

The young men work to open up the furrows so that the waters can move and clear the way....all seemed in vain, but as we continued to pray and they continued to work they received a breakthrough and was able to move the trucks of muram to its destination. We thank You Lord for Your grace, the perseverance of these men, and for Your power to make a way. You are the Way Maker!

Continued construction of church floor and latrine:
There are 3 stages to the floor: muram, concrete, plastering. This is stage 2.

Latrine construction progressing and near completion:

Construction continues on the latrine as well as on the flooring of the church and the window construction and their placement as Pst John prepares to order chairs and supplies for the official opening ceremony that he has scheduled for September 20th. Invitations have gone out and many are looking forward to this event and celebration. Continue to pray with us for this Kingdom project and celebratioin. God is working and we are working with Him! Hallelujia!

Doors Are Opening for Holy Spirit

The Doors of Nations Are Opening
            for the Holy Spirit

As we advance the Kingdom together through prayer, the doors of nations are opening to the knowledge and administration of the Holy Spirit. People are hungry and desperate to hear about this Power that has been given to us through Holy Spirit.

Pastor Isaac Nyandieka from Kisii, Kenya has been invited to Zimbabwe to minister on the Holy Spirit at a conference on September 3rd-8th and is believing and trusting God for the fees of $500 to cover his air fare and hotel. After ministering a message at a local conference on the Holy Spirit that touched and saved many lives, a man in attendance from Zimbabwe desperately wanted this message that was preached to be ministered in his country. So after extending that invitation to Pastor Isaac he went and sold his only two cows to pay for part of Pastor Isaac's air fare so he could come. Pastor Isaac is now asking us to join with him in prayer and faith for God's provision to complete this remaining financial need of air fare and hotel expenses of $500. Please agree with us for this need.

"God makes all grace abound to us, that always
having sufficiency in all things, that we would have
an abundance for every good work."
2 Cor 9:8

"The earth will be filled with the knowledge
of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea."
Ps 19:1
